Stefania Fernandez – Miss Venezuela Universe 2009
Stefania Fernandez was crowned as Miss Venezuela 2009 last September 10, 2008 which was held in Caracas, Venezuela. Dayana Mendoza, Miss Venezuela 2007 and Miss Universe 2008, handed to her the Miss Venezuela crown. Venezuela is hoping that Stefania can get their 6th Miss Universe crown in the 2009 Miss Universe pageant on August 23, 2009.
Aside from Miss Venezuela title, Stefania also won the “Best Body“, “Best Face“, and “Miss Elegance” awards.
Stefania Fernandez is 18 years old from Merida, Venezuela. She is Galician, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian origin. She is studying English and French and hopefully she wants to be a journalist someday. She is the second Miss Trujillo to win the title. The first one is Barbara Palacios who also won the 1986 Miss Universe title.
Stefania’s father was kidnapped when she was 15 years old. It took five days before her father got back. After that incident, she value her familey even more. She was proud to her dad because even though her dad wasn’t able to reach high school, her father was able to raised their family and he was now a great businessman.
Even though Stefania and Dayana were living in the same country and both wins the Miss Venezuela title, Stefania said that they have not had a chance to talk to each other. But she hopes Dayana could talk to her before the Miss Universe coronation night.
