After a series of large-scale preliminary rounds, Irina Antonenko was crowned Miss Russia 2010 held on March 6, 2010 at the Luxury Village Concert Hall in Barvikha, Odintsovsky District of Moscow. She was crowned by Miss Russia 2009 Sofia Rudieva and the 2009 Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez. The grand coronation event was hosted by co-producer and host of the Comedy Club Russia, Garik Martirosyan, and the 2nd place winner in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest, Alsou. Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Russia, Aliona Doletskaya, Russia’s most successful restaurateur, Arkadi Novikov, owner and founder of de Grisogono, Fawaz Gruosi, Honored Artist of Russia, Dmitry Malikov, German fashion designer, Philipp Plein, Russia’s most famous fashion designer, Valentin Yudashkin, and 2009 Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez were the judges of the prestigious Miss Russia 2010 pageant.

Irina received the new Miss Russia crown which the silhouettes is similar to the last crown but it has white hallmark gold, 14 unique pearls, and 2,358 diamonds with a total weight of 62 karats. She also received a whopping $100,000.

The 18 year old Irina was born on September 1, 1991 in the administrative center of Sverdlovsk Oblast – Ekaterinburg, which is situated on the eastern side of the Ural mountain range. She stands 5 ft and 10 in tall. She is currently studying finance at Ural Finance and Law Institute and at the same time she is studying the English language to be able to study in London. She plans to take up a masteral degree after her graduation.
