The tallest woman in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant, who stands 6 ft 1 in tall, is none other than Miss Canada Elena Semikina. Elena won the Miss Canada 2010 title on June 14, 2010 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s John Bassett Theatre in Ontario. Elena had already joined the pageant in 2008 and reached the top 10.
Elena was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1984. She is studying Marketing and Finance major at York University and currently enrolled neuro-linguistic programming, oratory, acting and dance classes.
Two delegates from Canada had won the Miss Universe title. The first Canadian beauty queen to win the Miss Universe title was Karen Dianne Baldwin. Baldwin won in 1982 in Lima, Peru and twenty three years later, Natalie Glebova grabbed the 2005 Miss Universe title giving Canada its second title in the said international pageant. As of now, Elena was one of the early favorites to win the Miss Universe title.
