Michaela Savic – Miss Sweden Universe 2010

Michaela Savic from Helsingborg was crowned Miss Universe Sweden 2010 on June 5, 2010 at Ambassadeur, the largest versatile modern nightclub in Stockholm.

Michaela was born on March 14, 1991 in Helsingborg located in Skane County, Sweden. She stands 5 ft 8 in tall. She studied economics at ProCivitas (ProCivitas Private Gymnasium) with a focus on marketing. She previously worked as a model for Gina Tricot and Puma.

After winning the title, Michaela realized that she wanted to be part of the entertainment industry. She said that she has taken drama lessons since she was four years old and being an actress is what she always dreamed of.

Sweden is one of the successful countries in the Miss Universe pageant. The country ranks third with three titles (1955, 1966, 1984). It’s already 26 years since Sweden won their third Miss Universe title. Sweden weren’t able to send candidate in 2007 and in 2009, Miss Sweden 2009 Renate Cerljen, just reached the top 15.

Malika Menard – Miss France Universe 2010

France’s new face for the Miss Universe 2010 pageant is Malika Menard. Malika won Miss France 2010 title at Nikaia palace in Nice on December 5, 2009.

Malika was born on July 14, 1987 in Rennes located in north-western France. Aside from having beautiful face and body, she is also intelligent. According to plurielles.fr, she obtained her Bachelor ES (serie economique et sociale) with honors. It is not surprising that Malika is intelligent because her father is a kinesiologist and her mother is a dentist. She is a third year law student at University of Caen and she wants to be journalist someday.

Before Malika was crowned Miss France 2010, she was crowned Miss Calvados 2009 titleholder on September 17, 2009. Then, on October 13, she won Miss Normandy 2009 title in Bayeux, Normandy.

Four days after Miss France 2010 pageant, she was featured in magazine Gala issue no. 861. Instead of wearing floor-length gowns or other sexy and elegant dresses, she wore rock stylish outfits and boots with studs on them, assisted by the famous Jean Paul Gaultier. Aside from being featured in Gala, she also appeared in Closer magazine issue no. 243.

According to purepeople.com, French people hope that Malika will get the Miss Universe 2010 title and end the sovereignty of Venezuela.

Renate Cerljen was born on March 26, 1988 in Staffanstorp, Sweden. She is 21 years old and stands 5’9.”

Estibaliz Pereira – Miss Spain Universe 2009

Estibaliz Pereira Rabade won the Miss Spain 2009 title which was held at Mexico’s coastal city of Cancun on July 19, 2009 and hosted by TV presenter Sandra Barneda and Luis Muñoz, Mister Spain 2007. She is the first Miss Spain who was crowned outside her country. This is to promote tourism in Mexico which declined due to the spread of H1N1 virus.

Estibaliz Pereira Rabade will compete for the Miss Universe 2009 pageant on August 23 and Miss World 2009 pageant on December.

Estibaliz Pereira is a 23 year-old business management student. She is from the UNESCO World Heritage Site -Santiago de Compostela.

Angelika Jakubowska – Miss Poland Universe 2009

Angelika Jakubowska won the Miss Poland 2008 (Miss Polonia 2008) title last September 2008 at the Grand Theater in Lodz. It was the first time in Poland beauty pageant that the winner was chosen via SMS votes. Organizers of the event came from three editros of “Swiatowida”, “Express morning,” and “Red Kuryer.” Angelika also received keys to her new car, Seat Altea, which is a major award from Iberia Motor Company SA.

This beautiful Polish girl from Luban is 20 years old and stands 5’9.” She can speak fluent English and German language. Angelika was afraid to travel by plane but after 130-hour flight, she finds it cool. One of her greatest dream is to travel in India.

Angelika will wear Poland’s national costume designed by Elizabeth Krzeminska on the 2009 Miss Universe pageant.

Karen Schwarz – Miss Peru Universe 2009

Karen Susana Schwarz Espinoza is Miss Amazonas who won the Miss Peru 2009 (Miss Peru Universo 2009) last April 4, 2009 which was held at the at the Hacienda Villa de Chorillos in Lima, Peru. It was the third time that the Miss Peru title holder is from Amazonas region.

Karen is 24 years old and stands 5’10.” She is of German origin. She will represent the country on August 23, 2009 for the 2009 Miss Universe pageant.

Aside from the Miss Peru 2009 title, Karen Schwarz also won the “Miss Fitness” award. She received preparation and trained by Corporacion de la Belleza Organization and Frieda Holler Miss Peru 1965.
