One of the Miss Universe 2010 candidate who can win the Miss Universe 2010 title this year is none other than Miss Turkey 2010 Gizem Memic. Gizem was crowned Miss Turkey Universe 2010 in an event held in Istabul, Turkey on April 1, 2010. Miss Turkey 2009 Ebru Sam handed the crown to her.

Gizem took home a brand new car and one-month intensive English language abroad.

Gizem was born on May 16, 1990 in one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world – Gaziantep. She stands 5 ft 10 in tall. She is a pharmacist and a high school teacher. She loves playing volleyball, singing, cooking, shopping, dancing, and she loves to travel.

Turkey has never won in the Miss Universe pageant but that doesn’t mean that their candidates were not pretty. In fact, they always send beautiful candidates. Usually Turkey send the first runner-up winner in the Miss Universe pageant but this year, Miss Turkey pageant organizers decided to send the Miss Turkey 2010 titleholder, Gizem, in the Miss Universe pageant instead of sending her in the Miss World pageant.
