Melinda Victoria Rivers was crowned “Froken Norge 2010″ held on June 26, 2010 at the Sole Hotell & Herregaard in Noresund. She is the first woman of African origin who have won the Miss Norway title.

Melinda was born in 1986 in Mauna, Botswana and grew up in the city of Larvic, located in Vestfold county, Norway. Her father is Norwegian while her mother is Motswana. Her father is the famous Hroar Rivers, former speed skater who represented Oslo in European and World Championships.

Melinda loves to dance. As what she said dancing is something she has been doing since she was young. Aside from dancing, she loves modelling.

Melinda likes Spice Girls and Beyonce, her favorite film is “Lion King,” her favorite food is crispy duck, she doesn’t like South Park tv show. She would like to meet U.S. President Barack Obama and like Miss Mauritius 2009 Dalysha Doorga, she is a great fan of former South Africa President Nelson Mandela.

Melinda currently works as a waitress at the Hard Rock Cafe in Oslo and a volunteer in Oslo Krisesenter women’s shelter. She currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in develoment studies and planning to take up a master’s degree in either Development studies or Social work in the near future.

She stands 5’9.” Eli goes on student teacher at the University of [...]]]> Eli Landa was crowned as Miss Norway Universe 2009 (Froken Norge Universe 2009). She will be the candidate for the upcoming 2009 Miss Universe pageant.

Eli Landa was born on March 21, 1984 in the city and municipality of Rogaland county called Sandnes. She stands 5’9.” Eli goes on student teacher at the University of Stavanger. She’ll complete the program next summer. Aside from school where she works, she is also a model and works on the customer service center in a local bank. She loves fashion and she loves to wear designer clothes.

Eli had joined several beauty contest and we can say she is already a veteran in this field. She is a finalist in 2003 Arets Ansikt (Face of the Year). Arets Ansikt is a Norwegian model contest. She also joined the 2003 New Silk Road Model Look which held in Hangzhou, China.

Eli is a very determined and strong-minded person. She wanted to follow the footsteps of former Miss Norway, Mona Grudt, who won the Miss Univers title in 1990.
