Scharllette Alexandra Allen Moses (or Scharllette Allen in short) has been named as Miss Nicaragua Universe 2010 at Teatro Nacional Ruben Dario in Managua on February 27, 2010. She is the first Caribbean woman and first black woman to win “Miss Nicaragua” title.

Scharllette Alexandra Allen Moses (or Scharllette Allen in short) has been named as Miss Nicaragua Universe 2010 at Teatro Nacional Ruben Dario in Managua on February 27, 2010. She is the first Caribbean woman and first black woman to win “Miss Nicaragua” title.

Miss Nicaragua 2008, Thelma Rodriguez, former Minister of Tourism, Mary Nelly Rodriguez, the composer and singer Otto de la Rocha, the ambassador of Spain, Antonio Perez Hernandez, the director Rossana Lacayo, Tatiana Lamb, and Mr. Daniel Garzon.

Aside from the “Miss Nicaragua 2010″ title she also won “Avon Face” award. Her gold Acahual Managua national dress designed by Carlos Rene Cruz made her second place in “Best in National Costume” category.

The eighteen year-old student of Hotel and Tourism Management was born on September 18, 1991 in Bluefields, Region Autonoma del Atlantico Sur (RAAS). She graduated from high school at Bluefields Indian and Caribbean University (BICU).

It’s not the first time that Scharllette has participated in a beauty pageant. She competed in Miss Moravian 2006 and Miss Oneness 2008. She will also compete for the Miss Continente Americano 2010 title after the Miss Universe 2010 pageant.

Indiana Sanchez will likely be one [...]]]> Indiana Sanchez is a 22 years-old nursing student from the largest city and capital city of Nicaragua – Managua. She was crowned as Miss Nicaragua 2009 at the Ruben Dario National Theatre last March 7, 2009. Automatically, she is the country’s contestant for the 2009 Miss Universe pageant.

Indiana Sanchez will likely be one of the the crowds’ favorite in this coming Miss Universe pageant because she had a face that can stun anyone. She recently returned from Venezuela, a country where she was trained by Katty Pulido, famous image of an expert in beauty queens.

It was reported that Indiana got flu last month but fortunately it was not the H1N1 virus. Though Indiana is a nursing student, after the pageant she will move to mass communication or media related course.
