Aside from the Miss Mauritius 2009 title, Dalysha also won “Miss Elegance” and “Miss Photogenic” [...]]]> As expected, Dalysha Doorga was crowned Miss Mauritius 2009 on October 24, 2009 at restaurant Imperial China restaurant in Trianon, Mauritius. Miss Mauritius 2008 Anais Veerapatren, performed on the coronation night. She sang “You’ve Got A friend.”

Aside from the Miss Mauritius 2009 title, Dalysha also won “Miss Elegance” and “Miss Photogenic” special awards.

Dalysha is 23 years old from Goodlands located in the North-East of the country. She stands 5 ft 8 in tall. She holds a degree in Textile & Design at the Universite de Maurice (University of Mauritius). She dreams of becoming a successful stylist someday.

Dalysha is also a great fan of Nelson Mandela, former South Africa president.

It was not surprising that Dalysha won the Miss Mauritius crown. Some people said that Dalysha won because she’s the bet of Primrose Obeegadoo, the president of the Miss Mauritius organizing committee but others said that she’s the best compare to other candidates.

Anais stands 6’0″. She is currently working as an intern in [...]]]> Anais Veerapatren was crowned as Miss Mauritius 2008 last September 20, 2008 at the Calodyne-sur-Mer Hotel, La Citadelle. She is 22 years old from Curepipe, an island country in the southwest Indian Ocean. Anais also won special awards like Miss Talent and Miss Elegance.

Anais stands 6’0″. She is currently working as an intern in a Legal Firm and she hopes that someday she’ll become a Professional in the Legal field.

Last December 19, 2008, Anais is the third place for Miss East Africa. She received $3,000 US. Anais will also be Mauritius representative to the 2009 Miss Universe pageant and 2009 Miss Tourism International.
