The event was hosted by hosted model and presenter Hila Nachshon. Israel representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, Harel Skaat, and 1973 winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, Anne-Marie David, performed in the said event.

The 22 year-old Bat-el, who stands 5 ft 8 in tall, was born in Afula, a city known as the “Capital of the Valley” in the North District of Israel. She works as a hotel receptionist in Afula.

Upon entering the Miss Israel 2010 beauty pageant, Bat-el with the rest of the contestants were on leave from their IDF duties. Bat-el will be the country’s representative in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant while the Miss Israel 2010 winner, Shavit Wiesel, will compete for the Miss World 2010 beauty pageant.

Corporal Adi Rodnitzki, who served Israel Navy for one and a half years, is the 2009 Miss Israel. She won the 2009 Miss Israel title last March 18, 2009 at the Haifa Convention Center. She is from Tel-Aviv, a city situated in Israeli Mediterranean coastline. Adi stands 5’8″ tall.

Adi got a lot of support from her commander, all her friends in the army, and from her other friends and relatives. She was given a three months leave and that’s how she experienced the world of being a beauty queen. She will be back from the service after the competition and other appointments of a beauty queen of Israel and said she’ll be back again outside the army to compete for the 2009 Miss Universe pageant.
