Ushoshi Sengupta was crowned “I Am She Miss Universe 2010″ by Miss Universe 2009 winner Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela on May 29, 2010. Ushoshi is India’s representative to the Miss Universe 2010 pageant.

She is the favorite contestant of Sushmita Sen, the first Indian woman to be crowned Miss Universe in 1994.

She is the favorite contestant of Sushmita Sen, the first Indian woman to be crowned Miss Universe in 1994.

Ushoshi was born on July 30, 1988 in the cultural capital and former capital of India – Kolkata. Her father is a former Indian Air Force officer and is currently working in the State Bank of India while her mother is a fulltime homemaker.

Ushoshi stands 5 ft 7 in tall. She is B.A. Humanities graduate at St. Xavier’s Unviersity. She wanted to become one of the famous Bollywood actress someday. As what she said, that is her biggest dream that she wanted to reach.

Ushoshi is very happy for the support coming from her family, friends, and people in Kolkata. She said that her supporters are very excited for her. She always received overwhelming support through emails and text messages.

Twenty-one year old Ushoshi hopes that she’ll get the third Miss Universe title of India.
