Miss Republica Dominicana Universo 2010 was held held at the Teatro La Fiesta, Hotel Jaragua in Santo Domingo. Puerto Rican American salsa singer Victor Manuel and popular Venezuelan singers Servando & Florentino entertained the crowd on the said event.

Other winners are Alba alvarez Alonso and Stephany Liriano Alcantara. Alba is the Miss Dominican Republic 2010 first runner-up who also won “Rostro L’bel” and “Miss Photogenic” special awards while Stephany is the second runner-up and will compete in “Miss Hispanoamerica” contest.

The 25 year-old Eva, who looks like the 2009 Oscar Best Actress Sandra Bullock, is from Dominican Republic’s “Village of Heroes” – Moca, which is located in Espaillat province. She was born on April 10, 1986. She already participated in the Miss Dominican Republic beauty contest in 1996. She was the most popular contestant in that year but wasn’t able to bring home the title and only got the second place (first runner-up).

Dominican Republic was so close to get the Miss Universe 2009 title. Miss Dominican Republic 2009 Ada Aimee de la Cruz Gonzalez is the Miss Universe 2009 first runner-up. The newly crowned Miss Dominican Republic Eva Arias is a bit pressured because Ada was able to put their country one step closer to the Miss Universe crown.

Ada de la Cruz was born on June 15, 1986 [...]]]> 23 year-old Ada Aimee de la Cruz Gonzalez won the Miss Dominican Republic 2009 last May 17, 2009 which was held at Centro de Convenciones de San Souci in Santo Domingo Este. She is the country’s participant to the 2009 Miss Universe pageant.

Ada de la Cruz was born on June 15, 1986 at Villa Mella, Dominican Republic. She actually represents the province of San Jose de Ocoa in the pageant. And Aside from the Miss Dominican Republic title she was also won the “Miss Dominican Republic 2009 Best Smile” and “Miss Dominican Republic 2009 Miss Internet.” In terms of experience in beauty pageants, Ada is already a veteran. She won the “Miss Mundo Dominicana 2007” title and also won the “Miss Beach” special award. She also competed in the “Miss World 2007” pageant where she was able to make it to the semifinals (top 10) and was the first Dominican to win “The Miss World Beach Beauty” in the said pageant. She have already joined the national competition (Miss Dominican Republic) in the year 2007 and was able to make it to the top 10.

Ada de la Cruz is the second Miss Dominican Republic titleholder of black heritage. Ada is well-known for her title as “Dominican Cinderella.” Her grandmother was a maid and the whole family grew up poor. But it’s now the time to shine Ada. Let the whole world acknowledge your beauty.
