Marva Wright won the Miss Costa Rica 2010 title at the Hacienda Pinilla resort in Playa Avellana, in Guanacaste. The event was hosted by Nancy Doubles, journalist Walter Campos, and Shirley Alvarez and broadcast live on Channel 7. First runner-up is Jazmin Zuñiga and the 2nd-runner up is Natasha Campos.

Marva took home a whopping 3 million colones (CRC3000000) and a brand new 2010 Toyota Yaris. She is the first Afro-Caribbean to win the national crown of Miss Costa Rica.

The 25 year-old physical theraphy student from San Jose never thought that she’ll be crowned as the most beautiful woman in Costa Rica. It’s her first time to compete in a beauty contest and for her it was a great experience. Now that she’s a well-known public figure, she’s very careful on her moves in order not to ruin her image.

Jessica is 21 years old and she stands 5’9″. She is from Morovia and represent Distrito Capital. She also won the “Best in Swimsuit” and “Miss Congeniality” award. She will represent the country for the Miss Continente Americano 2009, Reina Hispanoamericana 2009, and Miss Universe 2009.
