Ada de la Cruz – Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2009
23 year-old Ada Aimee de la Cruz Gonzalez won the Miss Dominican Republic 2009 last May 17, 2009 which was held at Centro de Convenciones de San Souci in Santo Domingo Este. She is the country’s participant to the 2009 Miss Universe pageant.
Ada de la Cruz was born on June 15, 1986 at Villa Mella, Dominican Republic. She actually represents the province of San Jose de Ocoa in the pageant. And Aside from the Miss Dominican Republic title she was also won the “Miss Dominican Republic 2009 Best Smile” and “Miss Dominican Republic 2009 Miss Internet.” In terms of experience in beauty pageants, Ada is already a veteran. She won the “Miss Mundo Dominicana 2007” title and also won the “Miss Beach” special award. She also competed in the “Miss World 2007” pageant where she was able to make it to the semifinals (top 10) and was the first Dominican to win “The Miss World Beach Beauty” in the said pageant. She have already joined the national competition (Miss Dominican Republic) in the year 2007 and was able to make it to the top 10.
Ada de la Cruz is the second Miss Dominican Republic titleholder of black heritage. Ada is well-known for her title as “Dominican Cinderella.” Her grandmother was a maid and the whole family grew up poor. But it’s now the time to shine Ada. Let the whole world acknowledge your beauty.
I was watching the 2009 Miss Universe pageant and the first time I saw Miss Dominican Republic pics, I was taken…She was just the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen…and the sexiest ever…She topped most of the competitions but I have no idea why she didn’t win the crown…Even her answer to the last question was much better than Miss Venezuela…She is the real winner in my book!
